(Brisbane, Thursday 28 August 2025) – Brisbane is set to kick off the summer festival season in style when VOLVO Presents: SYNTHONY Festival Brisbane takes over Riverstage on Saturday 4 October.
This boutique outdoor event will see the internationally acclaimed SYNTHONY No.5 transform Riverstage into a breathtaking fusion of electronic dance music, with the full power of The Metropolitan Orchestra Brisbane, guest vocalists, DJs, instrumentalists and immersive visuals.
Conducted by Sarah-Grace Williams, the show reimagines iconic anthems from Tiësto, Eric Prydz, Avicii, Bob Sinclar, Calvin Harris, Gala and more – the greatest dance music of the past 30 years like you’ve never heard it before.
The festival will also feature an all-star line-up of support artists:
- Example (UK): Platinum-selling rapper, singer and songwriter with global dancefloor anthems and festival-filling energy.
- Shapeshifter (DJ Set): New Zealand’s legendary drum and bass pioneers, renowned for their electrifying live performances and genre-bending sound.
- Yolanda Be Cool: The Australian duo behind worldwide hit We No Speak Americano, famous for their infectious house grooves and party-starting sets.
- Dick Johnson: House music icon and club favourite, known for his deep catalogue of dance releases and high-energy DJ sets.
The Brisbane event is part of the wider SYNTHONY Australia Tour 2025, which kicked off in Melbourne last month, continues through Adelaide and Perth, before landing at Riverstage and culminating in Sydney with a spectacular finale.
Since its inception, SYNTHONY has become a global phenomenon, blending the euphoria of EDM with the full force of a live orchestra. The Brisbane edition promises a boutique outdoor atmosphere – the perfect start to a long summer of music and good vibes.
