Jeff Horn, who is on the verge of breaking into the world’s top two with a world title shot on the near horizon, remains undefeated and scored his 10th win inside the distance.
Before the fight, Horn had promised to dismantle the German’s wall-like defence brick by brick and he took a sledgehammer to Mueller from Round 1, landing the first big shot of the fight, a thumping lead right before switching to the body in Round 2.
Mueller kept biting down hard on his mouthguard and marching forward but Horn gored the brave German fighter ace from then on, retaining his IBF Inter-Continental title
Earlier, there was no love lost as women’s WBC silver world super-bantamweight champion (silver world champion) Shannon O’Connell from Slacks Creek, scored a dominating 10-round decision over Edina Kiss of Hungary, whilst Nerang’s Rohan Murdock proved too sharp for Argentinean, Damian Ezequiel Bonelli, who lost for the first time in 24 fights.
Brisbane’s Sam Banney, won a thrilling six-round battle with Ballarat super-middleweight Steve Moxon by majority decision.
Horn’s sparring partner, former Australian amateur champion Nathan Webber, made his professional debut against Melbourne welterweight Colin Norris with a devastating first-round KO.
